13. Chief Minister with
an idea to apprise the business fraternity across the world about the
developments taking place in the state organized `Rising Bengal` seminar at
International Trade Fair (IITF) on the occasion of West Bengal Day., on `West
Bengal Day`. She requests industrialists to attend the `Rising Bengal Summit`in
Kolkata from Jan 6 to 11 2012.
14. Chief Minister took
an important stand over allowing the on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), in the
state. She said that her top priority was to safe guard the interest of the
farmers and retail shops and she will not support the UPA government on this
issue unless the farmers have sufficient resources and the retailers find
themselves secured.
15. Chief Minister raised
her voice against the hike and announced a walk out of the UPA Government at
the Centre. The Petroleum prices rolled back by rupees two per litre.
16. Chief Minister
inaugurates the 17th Kolkata Film festival with Guest of honours Shah Rukh Khan
and Sharmila Tagore.
Major
development just at the nick of the moment when the Trinamool Congress is all
set to celebrate the completion of 200-days in office and submit the list of achievements. The United Progressive
Alliance Government (UPA) has decided to put the Foreign Direct Investment (FD)
in retail on hold till Ms. Mamata Banerjee decides to reconsider her stand to
oppose FDI in retail.
