Book fair to start from 24th
Kolkata Book fair 2012 will be starting from 24th of January.The theme of this year’s book fair is Italy.Famous Italian writer will be present in the inaugural function of book fair.The Book fair guild has requested UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi to grace the event as she is also an Italian by birth.
Special security measures have been taken in this year’s Book fair.Five to six watch towers have been set up.A special fire fighting team will be deputed to oversee any kind of disaster.Temporary Bus terminus has been set up to park atleast 40 buses.Four parking zones have been made for convenience.CESC has taken special action to see that there is uninterrupted power supply.Also two powerful generators installed to handle emergency.Entry fee has been waived like previous year.Also arrangements have been made to distribute 50,000 pouch of water free of cost.
